How to make delicious coffee in a chemex?
- Place the filter in the chemex.
- Add coarsely ground coffee beans – the standard ratio is 6-7g of coffee for every 100ml of water, but feel free to modify this to suit your preference.
- Slowly pour 90-95°C water over the coffee, starting with what is known as pre-infusion – a small amount of water to allow the coffee to flourish.
- Continue pouring in water in a steady stream. Then wait for a while. The extraction process will take about 3-4 minutes. Done!
